To The Security Holders of St. Joseph Light & Power Company
The Company's earnings statement comes to you in one of the new four cent
commemorative stamped envelopes issued on July 19 at St Joseph, Missouri,
in connection with the 1960 Pony Express centennial year celebrations.
The Pony Express began its history making mail service at St. Joseph on April 3, 1860
and continued in existence until October, 1861. The western terminus of the 1966
mile run was Sacramento, California.
Commemorative stamped envelopes are comparatively scarce, the Post Office having
issued such envelopes only six other times.
