To Mr. Wm. E. Gibson . . . . . Contractor, Dr.
To proportionate amount chargeable to Lot 11 in the Block 9 in Patee Addition to the City of St., Joseph, in
Buchanan County, Missouri, and for performing, constructing and completing the District Sewer, to be
constructed as provided by Ordinance of the City of St. Joseph, No. 147, entitled "An Ordinance to
Establish and Construct parts of the District Sewer, in Sewer District No. 9," approved July 20 1886; that I
have computed the whole cost thereof, and assessed it as a Special Tax against the Lot of ground in said
Sewer District, No. 9 in the City of St. Joseph, aforesaid, exclusive of improvements, in proportion to the
area of the whole District, exclusive of Public Highways and in so doing have assessed Lot 11 in Block 9
in Patee Addition, within said Sewer District, in the City of St. Joseph, in Buchanan County, Missouri with
87/100 Dollars, its proper share of such costs; that O. M. Spalsbury is the owner of said above described
Lot of ground, and I make this certified bill of such assessment against said Lot of ground in the names of
the owners therefore, and deliver the same to Wm E Gibson the Contractor of said work; which bill shall be
a lien against the Lot of ground described herein, and bear interest at the rate of ten per cent. per annum
from thirty days after the date of the issue hereof, unless sooner offered to be paid; and if not paid or
offered to be paid within six months after date of issue, shall bear interest at the rate of fifteen per cent.
per annum until paid.
