Description
Farmers Equip. Co. All-Crop Harvester being taken across Missouri River, 1936. Four black and white snapshots. When Ed Heney, a farmer living on a 3200-acre island in the Missouri River near Iowa Point, Kansas, recently purchased an all-crop harvester from the Farmer's Equipment Company of St. Joseph, he asked delivery of the harvester. The photos show the process of getting the harvester into the river to transport it to the island. The island farm has 200 acres of land under cultivation, 120 acres being in wheat.
