Figure Drawing has the following disclaimer on the verso title page: "Most of the illustrations in this booklet are reproduced from rapid 'time sketches' (twenty to thirty minutes' poses). The student should not take them as examples of completed drawings." As a result, the drawings are sketches meant to give the student basic directions on how to start a drawing.
