Provenance

Notes

Letter from donor. "These photographs were purchased in the Fall of 1976 at a yard sale outside of Barrington, IL. They were found rolled up in a corner of a small barn-like structure on the property. When asked, the owner indicated there was no known history. The pair was purchased for $25.00 with the hopes they could be restored for framing. This task fell upon Loretta Kalina of K&T Colors with amazing results considering their condition at the start of this project. The photographs hung over the fireplace mantle of the Welsh household for over 40 years. They were the topic of many conversations but never being able to answer as to "who they were" other than "someone's parents/grandparents."
