In 1924, Giuseppe "Joe" Manganaro owned & operated an Italian market advertising fancy meats and groceries.
It was called Melrose Market located at 807 Francis.
In the early 1930's, Mr Manganaro moved his grocery store to 909 Frederick Avenue.
Currently, half of Geneo's Pizza occupies the address where the market once stood.
As you can in the photos, the front facial & doorways are the same with some modifications.
