Description
Geology of the Platte City Quadrangle, Platte County, Missouri & Leavenworth County, Kansas consists of two 7 1/2 minute maps in Southwestern Platte County, about 15 miles northwest of Kansas City. Unconsolidatede deposits of Quaternary age (Pleistocene Series) blanket the bedrock over most of the area. These deposits are primarily loess with some till. The report also describes deposits of other eras and limestone and sandstone deposits.
