Description
God's Men of Color: The Colored Catholic Priests of the United States 1854-1954 describes a somewhat surprising record of the development of vocations among the colored people of the United States. God's Men of Color have not been in proportion to the millions of their race in the Church. In the past one hundred years, the colored people have been represented in both the religious and diocesan clergy of the Catholic Church and have steadily and slowly increased. This book also discusses the obstacles that faced the colored person during this time.
