Depicts miners outside a tent alongside a stream in the mountains. One man on right is digging with a pickaxe. Another man at left is leaning on shovel with pickaxe at his feet. The man in center is seated with dog by his side. Another man is standing to this man's left, holding rifle and with shovel over his shoulder, a sluice box at his feet. Seen in the distance are other miners sluicing in the stream with tents on shore. Artist not identified.
