I have the honor to make application for membership in the Chester Harding Post No. 182, Department of Missouri, Grand Army of the Republic, basing my application on the following facts:.
First enlisted at Indianapolis.
I am 55 years of age, and was born in Mattamores, Mexico in 1835, now residing in St. Joseph, Mo., State of Missouri, am by occupation a Engineer.
I served in the late rebellion as follows:
First enlisted Indianapolis, 1861, as private, in Co. C, 8th Regiment, Indiana Inf. for the period of 3 years, and was discharged therefrom as Private at Indola (?) Texas...by reason of re-enlistment."Lexicon
