Description
This Guidebook was prepared at the request of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists' Field Trip Committee for the 1966 Semi-Centennial Convention. The trip is designed so that complete or nearly complete sections of the various formations present in this area of Missouri will be seen. Included in the book are various illustrations of cross sections, a route map and geologic map. Also included are two technical papers: "Structural Features of St. Louis County and Vicinity" by Mary H. McCracken and "Late Meramecian Conodont Faunas from the Fort Bellefontaine and Vigus North Quarries, St. Louis County, Missouri" by Thomas L. Thompson.
