Description

Circa 1962 HENRY'S HAMBURGERS 28th & LOCUST PARKWAY BROASTED CHICKEN 28th & LOCUST HENRY'S HAMBURGERS 2131 ST JOSEPH AVENUE HENRY'S HAMBURGERS 1225 SOUTH BELT HIGHWAY HENRY'S HAMBURGERS 5028 LAKE AVENUE Originally, Henry's had 3 locations: Belt & Mitchell, 5028 Lake Avenue & 2131 St Joseph Avenue As you can see, their menu included hamburgers, tenderloins, french fries and many other items that were delicious and very affordable The newest Henry's Hamburger was located on South Noyes Boulevard, just south of the railroad overpass at 28th & Locust. It was built in 1962, replacing a very small gas station that once stood at that location The overhead railroad overpass and track nearby were removed in the 1990's. Some years later, a Speedy's gas station & convenience store was built very close to the location - an empty lot remains today where Henry's once sat at 28th & Locust Two of the original Henry's structures are still in use today, Ford's Drive-In on Lake Avenue & Cabana Grill on St Joseph Avenue
