Scope and Content

A Christmas greeting card with a red printed message inside 'Hope your Christmas is bright with blessings. It is folded at the top and has a colored picture of 3 Teddy Bears, with blankets on their laps, sitting around three lit candles adorned with holly and ornaments. Also inside is a personal hand written note to Wilbur from Norb and Aggie Goss in Herman, MO. It is dated Dec. 17

Context

Dear Wilbur - Have been meaning to write for ages - to let you know how we were doing with our grape rootings. We planted the wood cuttings you sent of the Virginia Seedlings of A. Bottermuller - as well as those we got from the Bias winery. Success rate was about 1/3 of the McDonald supply and 1/2 of the Bias cuttings. We have 200 plants (6 varieties) coming from Foster this spring. We still need a lot of advice and help. We plan to attend the Wine & Grape Conf. at Tar Tara in Jan. Hope we see you there. Fondest regards - Norb and Aggie Goss
