Hopi Man, Native American Photo Print by Edward S. Curtis. Sepia Photo print on paper. 14 1/2" x 17 1/2". This photo is of an Indian man with shoulder length hair and a blanket around his shoulders. Edward S. Curtis produced a significant volume of illustrations and photographs of the North American Indian 1907-1930. His work is one of the most significant and controversial representations of traditional American culture ever produced. He portrayed the traditional customs and lifeways of eighty Indian tribes. The St. Joseph Museum has 52 reprints of his work.
