Hyogo, Miss - Commemorative Postcard. This postcard is a picture of Miss Hyogo. The back of card states "After 70 years of friendship mission to America, Miss Hyogo visits her home country for conservation and exhibit in Kobe and Himeji, March and April, 1997. (The doll is property of the St. Joseph Museum, Missouri, USA)" Miss Hyogo was a doll sent from Japan in 1927 in response to Dr. Sidney Gulick's sending Friendship Dolls to Japan . The dolls were distributed to schools throughout Japan.
