![This gun was given to my father by attorny Kay Porter who was borned [sic] and raised in Plattsburg, Mo. It was given to him by Governor Guy Park of Platte City, MO. It was owened [sic] and carried by Jesse James it is a 38 caliber fluted cylinder, cap and ball colt belt pistol. To the best of my knowledge this history is accurate. It is a rather unusual piece. There were only a few made of this type. I believe it is called a Colt Navy model, however I am not sure of this point.
