The cafe was built in 1919.
They offered hamburgers for 25 cents and you could get a soda for 5 cents.
All of the buildings on the north side of this block of Edmond Street became one large parking lot during Urban Renewal.
Listed as John Joseph Restaurant in 1953 city directory.
