Roesle Is Leaving Gas Firm Post. Louis Roesle, manager of Gas Service Company, is retiring. He will be 69 next September 2. Normal retirement age is 65 but Lou has held on at special request of Ben Adams. He is also being retained in an advisory capacity.

Newspaper picture: Police and Missouri highway patrolman use a long rope dropped from a railroad bridge to help remove critically injured William Mitchell from the bottom of an 80-foot railway cut after a stolen car crashed into the cut at the end of a 100-miles an hour police chase early today. Officers said Mitchell, a 45 year old ex-convict avoided capture in a 20 mile chase but crashed into the deep cut under fire 15 miles south of Kansas City.
