Description

Last of the Great Scouts, the Life Story of Col. William F. Cody was first published in 1899. According to Donald Danker of the Nebraska State Historical Society the book contains obvious exaggerations and inventions that not only helped to establish the Buffalo Bill legend but they also gave ammunition to the debunkers of Cody. The book gives a full account of his childhood and some interesting sidelights on his adult life. There are also photographs of his wild west show in Europe. This edition was reproduced from the 1899 edition published by the Duluth Press Publishing Company. 296/Softbound/Photographs
