Laura Ingalls Wilder Country is a combination of events which resulted in this book. The book was unofficially born at the Laura Ingalls Wilder Room of the Pomona Public Library in California on February 7, 1987, the 120th anniversary of Laura Ingalls Wilder's birth. Laura's books were popular in Japan. A Japanese translator longed to see a book published depicting the land and places Laura described in her books. A photographer was interested in supplying the pictures. The author, William Anderson, put it all together. An edition of this book was published in Japan in 1988.
