Lead Seals from Fort Michilimackinac, 1715-1781 is part of a series of historical reports published by the Mackinac Island State Park Commission, or, as of this particular report, Mackinac State Historic Parks. The seals of which the author writes were once called "bale seals" but now believed to be "seals placed on individual woven cloths exported to such posts as Michilimackinac, first from France and later from Great Britain."
