A single page typed letter on onion skin paper from (Mrs. ) Maryan Carlson Maier, R.R. L. to Mr. Emmett McLoughlin, Supt., Memorial Hospital, Phoenix, Arizona, dated October 8, 1955Context
Dear Doctor McLoughlin:
I am naturally pleased to learn that you will be in St. Joseph this next Thursday evening on a speaking engagement and only sorry I did not lean of it sooner. I certainly plan to be on hand.
I would like to extend an invitation to you to have dinner with my husband and me at the Shriner's Moila Club the evening of your visit if you have no other plans. I have contacted Dr. Powell, pastor of Francis Street Methodist Church and also Rev. Frobenius president of the St. Joseph POAU Chapter, but so far as is known at present, no such arrangements have been made otherwise. If your wife is accompanying you, we certainly extend the invitation to her also.
If you would like to visit our Clinic while you are here, we will be happy to show you through.
Anything further that I can do in any way, please don't hesitate to ask. With best wishes and looking forward to seeing you. Sincerely yours, (Mrs. ) Maryan C. MaierCollection
