A letter on Buchanan County Historical Society letterhead, from Richard Cameron, Executive Director to Dr. Liam O'Brien, Medical Superintendent, State Hospital No. 2. Dated July 22, 1977. re: Transfer of exhibit items to County Historical Society.
The attached list is on onion skin paper with the heading: List of Items to be Transferred from State Hospital No. 2 to ArchivesContext
Dear Dr. O'Brien:
In confirmation of and with our conversation of earlier this week, I transmit herewith a list of the items of historical interest presently at State Hospital No. 2 that are to be transferred to the Archives building of the Buchanan County Historical Society.
It is clearly understood by both parties, of course, that the Society will have only Custodial Care of the items and that Title will remain to the State of Missouri.
Would it be possible to expedite the transfer of these items? We have only limited use of a truck and would like to set up these items in an exhibit as soon as possible.
May I also take this occasion to personally thank you for our very kind cooperation with the Society in the past and to remind you that we regret your departure. We do hope that you will stop by before leaving if you have the time.
Cordially, Richard T. Cameron
The list of items are: a small table, Dining Room table, small "wicker" desk, Wicker-wood Settee, Wooden porch bench, Small Oak Desk, Small oak washstand, Oval dining room table, wicker settee.
