Scope and Content

A single page typed letter on onion skin paper from (Mrs. ) Maryan Carlson Maier, R.R. L. to Mr. Emmett McLoughlin, Supt., Memorial Hospital, Phoenix, Arizona, dated July to Mrs. Maryan C. Maier, dated August 11, 1955

Context

Dear Mr. McLoughlin: Virginia Miller and I want to thank you very much for sending us autographed copies of your book, "People's Padre". They arrived safely earlier this week. I gave the third copy to my pastor, Dr. B. V. Powell, of the Francis Street Methodist Church, who was most pleased to receive it. He had not read it yet. In as much as I was one of the original organizers of the Arizona State Association of Medical Record Librarians, I have followed its progress through the pages of our National Journal - J.A.A.M.R.L. - including Mary's presidency in 1950. Since she was not listed in the latest membership roster, I assumed she was not still alive. I am happy to know that she is still your medical record librarian as I am sure you would want her to be. Again, thank you, and good wishes to you both, Sincerely yours, Mrs. Maryan C. Maier
