Dear Sir:
I am in receipt of your letter of September 26, 1925, with enclosed debit memorandum of September 25, in the amount of $169.89 for taxes paid on lots one and two, Block 76, St. Joseph, Missouri.
In Checking up this list of taxes, and the lease contract in connection therewith we finds that the lease contract states that all taxes against the said property be paid by the lessee (except when special assessment or special tax).
In checking over this list, which list I am returning herewith for explanation, we find that two items of sewer tax for 1924, and two items of boulevard tax of 1924, also, two items of boulevard tax for 1925, a total of $27.89 are special taxes, and in accordance with the lease contract we have deducted this total of $27.89 from your total bill of $169.89, leaving a net balance of $142.00 which amount is correct according to our opinion.
Before making a check for the amount we deemed it best to notify you of this so that there might not be any misunderstanding. Please let us hear from you regarding this matter, and if satisfactory we will then mail you check for amount stated.
Yours very truly,Dimensions
