Pg 1 8:10pm June 30,1952, Monday, My dearest Husband: For some reason or other I keep on thinking today is Sunday but it isn't. After finishing your letter last night, started out with the baby for his walk and went up to Dairy Queen and got some ice cream. Saw the car was in front of the house so went on up to the house but they weren't home. i figured since the car was there, they were down at the Lake but of course, don't know. Went back and got the ice cream and we ate it on the front porch. O bought the highchair out so he could sit in it and eat some to. We had just finished the ice cream when Mr. Estiban came over with his
Pg 2 grand daughter> She is 14 mo old and weighs 29 lbs and is so fat she can't walk yet. She is very cute but you can tell she is a jewess. our angel sat and looked at her and when they left he started to fuss. I decided it was time for him to go to bed so bathed him off and put soda water on his rash and powder put zinc oxide on his bottom as he had a little bit of a rash there and gave him his bottle. He finished his bottle and then filled his pants so I had to clean him up again. He was half asleep but of course woke up when I changed his pants. I took him out on the porch and patted him for about 10minutes and he went back to sleep so I put him to bed. It was a little
Pg 3 after 9:3 by then. I sat on the front porch for a few minutes and then came in and drank a glass of iced tea and was in bed by 10:00. Was so hot I couldn't sleep. It started lightning and then the wind came up and it got so nice and cool. I shut one window in our room all the way and another part way as it was to breezy. Went to sleep and the next time I woke up it was so hot I had to open the windows again. It rained a little but not very much. Our little angel slept right thru the night or the first time in a long time. he woke up about 7:0 and had his bottle and played till 8:00 and I put him in his highchair while I ate and dressed.
Pg 4 I put him in the play pen then and I did the breakfast dishes. I got him to sleep about 10:00 and put him back in the play pen as was a breeze there. He slept till about 11:30 and then I fed him and we ate lunch. The mailman came then and I got one letter from you and my church. I read the letter and we did the dishes. Forgot, while he slept this morning, I helped mom hang up some of the clothes. After we did the dishes I washed out some diapers and took off the wash so could hang them up. Also put soda water in the sterilizer and boiled it to clean it out and then after that was over with sterilized
Pg 5 his bottles and made his formula. Got him to sleep at 3:45 and he slept till about 5:45 and we ate then and had just finished when Don stopped in for a few minutes. We did the dishes after he left and then I started this. Mother, dad and the baby are out on the front porch. She just called me so I went out and he had been sitting on her lap wiggling around and he got his diaper off so she held him while I put it on him. I took his high chair out and put him in it and he is talking now but I don't know what he is saying. It was 96 again today which was
Pg 6 not quite as hot as yesterday. I called Mary Jane this afternoon and congratulated her on becoming an aunt again. Her sister in law gave birth to a 9lb 15 oz baby boy Friday morning at 4:00. They have a girl 7 and a boy 5 I think. Mary Jane said he sure is a big boy. I've covered the news so will answer your letter of Wed June 25th now and will leave the one I got today which was June 26th until tomorrow. yes, Bill knew I was divorced as he knew when I quit trading from them that I was leaving over there.
