Mr. Harry L. George.
St. Joseph, Mo.
Dear Sir:
I have received your letter of March 4, 1916, in which you state that T.R. Roddy wrote you saying that the war-club tied to the Osage “bundle” he sold to you does not belong to it. Suspecting that the club did not belong to the “bundle” I had a photograph made of the “bundle” without the club and that is what I shall use as illustration in my book, giving due credit, of course, to you for your courtesy in permitting me to examine the “bundle.”
If you happen to come into possession of other Osage “bundles” I wish you would let me know so that I can make mention of them, also, in my book on the Osage tribe.
Very truly yours,
Francis LaFlescheSubject
