Pg 1 Aug 18, 1952 Dear Norma Jean, I tried to get shoes for BN the other nite at Empire. The man brought out 4 medium with hard soles. The other salesman said babies first learning to walk need softer soles. I wasn't sure just what you wanted me to get so until I hear from you I'll let it go. One said 4 mediums was for small babies but they don't wear hard soles do they. Give me a drawing of his foot anyway. The size may be different although I doubt it. I have another little package I'll try to mail today. In the meantime he can buy himself something with the enclosed gift. Give him a kiss. Love,MariamLexicon
