A short typed letter on plain white paper from William F. Toben, Gloria Winery, Mountaingrove, MO. to Wilbur P. McDonald MD, dated January 24, 1990Context
Dear Doctor,
This is a note to alert you to three rather nice red wines that are available in your backyard. Misson Creek Winery at Weston where Jeff Keogh has made wines from my harvests these past two years. I hope this year I will be able to produce these wines myself on a commercial scale. I have a 7.5 acre vineyard near Mountaingrove which has Villard Noir, Chambourcin, Vidal & another that is suppose tobe Bellandais but s far as I can see is boit. The Mountaingrove Experiment Station agrees it is not this variety but as long as the vine is hardy and produces a very nice hybrid wine who cares? (red wine) I thank you for your attention.
Yours truly,Lexicon
