Dear Representative Russell:
As an amateur Viticulturist in Northwest Missouri I urge you to support the Department of Agricultural's Grape and Wine program as a good step toward upgrading Missouri's wine future.
The policy of the State's Fruit Experimental Station at Mountain Grove has not been condusive to the production of wine for the past 40 years, so that our State is now about 20 years behind our neighboring states in the knowledge of viticulture and viniculture.
With more knowledge of the grapes that can be grown in Missouri, who knows, maybe I'll be able to produce a decent wine in Andrew County.
We have a lot of catchingup to do and your support is appreciated.
