A Xerox copy of a letter, from Wilbur P. McDonald, M. D., toMr. Paul Wlos, Peotone, Ill., dated April 8, 1981. It is written on Dr. McDonald's office letterhead.Context
Dear Mt. Wlos:
Today I mailed you the remaining cuttings of "Ruby Cabernet" that spent the winter in my refrigerator. Yesterday I grafted 9 buds on Baco #1 scios about 2-3 feet above ground, then bent them over and buried the grafted area. In 3 weeks I'll raise the grafts back up, and cut off all distal wood to let the graft be the terminal bud.
Spring is 3 weeks ahead of schedule here - the grapes are just beginning to leaf.
Good luck on your grafting.
Please renew my license #2, as I have held it most of the time since 1960.
Sincerely,Lexicon
