Dear Wilbur:
Many thanks for your packet of material detailing your early and important efforts in wine grape growing in Missouri. Although I may have gotten more publicity, you did more for the industry.
I enclose copies of a small portion of my file for your reading pleasure. Dispose of them as you see fit. You will see from the transcript that I acted in my own behalf. That's because although my attorney was present, he sat in the back of the room and refused to acknowledge that he even knew me.
I have taken the liberty of sending some of your material on to Sandy Barks in the hopes that she will generate some sort of an article detailing the early days of the re-birth of the wine industry in Missouri.
