Sat. morn
Hello All
I'm getting earlier and earlier on this note writing but when I have a few quiet minutes I think of you.
Today is Howard & Juanita Clemmons 50th Wedding Ann', and they are having a big How down - lunch for family given by a friend - get together after wards at their house till the 7 to 11 Reception with Live Music etc. at the Community Bldg. It may be a wash out, but she has been working on it (that's all we've heard) for 6 months. and we intend to help make it a success by attending.
Fortunately I got a new Spring (Orchid - grey - tripe) dress in K. C. last month - so I was prepared in advance.
Tell John I took care of his request on that S.S. number. Mary Jane said as long as you file jointly - it makes no difference whose number appears. Seems the forms are limited in size and only room for one number and they just happen to take yours, but she would take care of it.
It's down to 18° with a high of 20° predicted with a heavy skiff of snow (ice) on the streets. Will Spring
ever arrive. Daddy has taken another cold but doesn't feel too badly.
I've been fighting my Blood Pressure for the past month but right now it's fine. Dr. Brown is working all angles to see what medication will be permanent - Its Hypertension of that we are sure but that's the trickiest symptom to control. He says it's in my head, but I say it's been there too long for me to turn off like a water faucet try as I may. At my age I don't mind medication for a crutch which he seems to be beginning to agree with me will be necessary - that's what has it stabilized now. I go back March 28th then we should be on track. My weight is fine & I feel great otherwise - I'm only about 4 lbs. over Weight Watchers.
Tuesday morn
It's a good thing I got an early start on this note. - here it is Tue al ready - The Clemmons Party was very nice - Good crowd - Weather cleared up by afternoon and a good time was had by all. Sunday we went to Leavenworth Retired Breakfast - Old hat, but something to do. Just finished in time for 10:30 Mass down there & then home - Did out two mile walk & that was it.
Do you have a salt substitute in your markets that isn't bitter like ours? Dr. has me on a salt free diet and I', having an awful time. I'd just about as soon not eat - then the things I can have are calorie laden - I'm sure there is no good answer but I know you get sugar substitute for Betty & I wonder what you might find!
