A letter from Erwin Abmeyer, Department of Horticulture, on Kansas State University, Manhattan, Ks. letterhead, to Dr. McDonald, dated September 27, 1968.Context
Dear Dr. McDonald:
Seems we have quite a time making contact with each other. Tried to call last night, but first our line was tied up, then your line was busy, and by that time company showed up, so I never did get the call through. Anyway, we are sorry we missed you.
Christmas came a little early at our house this year. Thanks very much for getting the 2 "water seals" for us. However, we couldn't find anything anywhere as to their cost. We would like to pay you for them, if you will just tell us how much. Oh yes, we also found the $10 - thank you very much.
Am just about through with grape harvest for the year. About all I have left are some Sheridan's which ripened poorly due to severe 2,4-D injury.
Again, Many, many thanks.
