Dear Mr. Recher :
I received a letter from our friend, My Reinprecht of Eisenstadt, Bergenland Austria in which he stated "on the 27th of November we have sent you 10 bottles of our Ruster Burgunder to the address of Mr. Roland E. Recher in Chicago". They also sent me a bill for same, 10 bottles @ 22 shillings per bottle, or 220 shillings, plus box and crating, 40 shillings, and postage 300 shillings, making a total of 560 shillings. I have just written to Mr. Reinprecht sending him my personal check a little in excess of the present exchange rate.
I am writing to Harry Wiggins, Supervisor of Dept. of Liquor Control, State of Missouri, Jefferson City 65101, asking permission to import these 10 bottles of Ruster Burgunder into the State of Missouri, and I will send you that permit when it is received.
Please keep me informed.
Sincerely,
