A copy of a letter, on onion skin paper, from Wilbur P. McDonald, M. D., to Mr. Nicholas Reinprecht, Eisenstadt, Austria, dated October 3, 1969. The letters COPY in red ink are printed down the left hand side of the page.Context
Dear Mr. Reinprecht :
Enclosed is n article from the Kansas City Times, Thursday, September 25, 1969, which is self-explanatory. As you can tell by the article, I am continuing to try to grow a grape in Northwest Missouri suitable for the production of a good dry wine. The Vinifera varieties all winter kill in this area, and I am attempting to find a Vinifera that will survive.
Thank you again for the ten bottles of Ruster Burgunder. So far I have only sampled one and it was very good but seemed much too young yet to drink. What year do your feel it will reach its maturity.
Sincerely,
Enc.Lexicon
