A copy of a letter, on onion skin paper, from Wilbur P. McDonald, M. D., to Mr. August Bottermuller, Herman, Mo., dated October 3, 1969. The letters COPY in red ink are printed down the left hand side of the page.Context
Dear Mr. Bottermuller:
Enclosed is a recent article in the Kansas City Times, Thursday morning, Sept. 25, 1969, just to let you know that I am still in business and am continuing to look for a suitable wine grape in Northwest Missouri.
Wine from the Virginia seedlings you helped me obtain is certainly by far the best wine that I can produce from native grapes in this area. This year for the first time, I have a small amount of Roby Cabernet wine, which of course is a true Vinifera and has no foxy after flavor.
I continue to hear about you from friends passing through Herman. Hope to see you again in the near future, so we can talk about wine.
Sincerely,
Enc.Lexicon
