A copy of a letter, on onion skin paper, from Wilbur P. McDonald, M. D., to Mr. Irving C. Dobrow, Heublein Inc., New York, New York, dated June 12, 1970. The letters COPY in red ink are printed down the left hand side of the page.Context
Dear Mr. Dobrow:
Can't remember when I enjoyed two days more. Thanks to you, to Heubleins, and to Christys. Where else could a Midwesterner have a chance to compare, to see, to smell, and to taste great wines side by side. Only once before have I been privileged to share in a wine tasting when the French Ambassador held a tasting of white wine at the Fairmount Hotel in San Francisco in Oct. 1963, and Heubleins tasting far surpassed that.
As I am not in the art business, I was very pleased to be a successful bidder, obtaining Lot Number 133 for $22.00 per case, a very reasonable price, I feel, and if you will be so kind as to ship the ten cases to me through Mr. Des. Williamson, Ambrose & Co., 900 Woodswether Rd. Kansas City, Mo. 64105, I would be very appreciative. Mr. Williamson has agreed t deliver them to me through a St. Joseph Outlet.
Thank you again for your kindness.
Sincerely,Lexicon
