A letter from Harold W. Brown, Deputy Supervisor, Department of Liquor Control, Jefferson City, Missouri to Dr. Wilbur P. McDonald, dated August 2, 1972. It is printed on Department of Liquor Control letterhead with the seal of the State of Missouri at the top.Context
Dear Dr. McDonald:
Enclosed is a copy of the provisions of the limited light wine manufacturer's license, a copy of the new Regulation #11 and Opinion #47 of the Attorney General.
As you know, for a long time people that wished to make wine on a small basis (100-300 gallons or less) paid the $5.00 fee without any additional fee per gallon. The new Regulation 11 requires a fee of 30¢ per gallon in addition to $5.00 flat license fee.
It has become more difficult to legally make a little wine for your personal use and apparently more difficult to retain the number 2 license that you have been issued in the past.
We will try to correct these problems in the very near future.
Thank you for your inquiry and if I can be of any assistance in the future, feel free to let us know.
Sincerely,Lexicon
