A copy of a letter on onion skin paper, from Wilbur P. McDonald, M. D., to Leon D. Adams, Sausalito, California, dated October 16, 1972. The letters COPY in red ink are printed down the left hand side of the page.Context
Dear Mr. Adams:
Please extend to the members of The Society of Medical Friends if Wine my sincere thanks for being allowed to join them on their Twenty-Eighth Annual Vintage Tour, October 1st. Such opportunities are rare for a midwestern amateur enologist, and I appreciate the opportunity to enjoy the fruits of the vine, with such a distinguished group.
It is only through conversation and associations with men more knowledgeable in the art that I can learn, and this tour was an excellent opportunity. I enjoyed our conversations on the bus, and if you would be so kind I would like a copy of your book, when it comes off the press.
