A copy of a letter on onion skin paper from Wilbur P. McDonald, M. D., to Dr. H. P. Olmo, Professor of Viticulture, University of California, Davis, dated March 6, 1973. The letters COPY in red ink are down the left hand side of the paper.Context
Dear Mr. Olmo:
Thank you very much for the 6 cuttings each of T8-43 and Sereksia, which I will keep in my ice box until about the middle of the month before planting, as danger of hard freeze is not past. Enclosed is the signed Growers License.
As I have room for a few more plantings in my vineyard this year would it be possible to obtain cuttings of one of the more "cold hardy" strain of Reslings to try here in Northwest Missouri. As you remember we discussed this over the hone last week, but no Reisling cuttings were included in the shipment.
Thank you for your trouble and efforts on my behalf, and it is a pleasure to chat with you a bit last week.
