A letter from H. P. Olmo, Professor of Viticulture, University of California, Davis to Wilbur P. McDonald, M. D., dated April 10, 1973. It is on University of California, Davis letterhead.Context
Dear Dr. McDonald:
I am pleased to hear you have received the cuttings of T8-43 and Sereksia. We have also received the signed grower's agreement.
Perhaps I was not clear in my telephone conversation concerning cold hardy types of Reisling. I do not believe there are any clones of the White Riesling any more hardy than the others. What I was referring to. was the new hybrids being produced in the Geilweilerhof Station in West Germany that are now being named and distributed. We are just now making arrangements to import and test these varieties so that no cuttings are available.
Sincerely yours,Lexicon
