Dear Wilbur:
The high-light (for me) of the Congress of Surgeons in San Francisco was your visit here.
Being with you is wonderful exercise for my brain.
To prevent brain from drying up was my scheme in st(a)rting my memoirs, already reaching some 80000 or 90,000 words. Includes much of my ornery boyhood in Atchison when, as I mentioned, some (of) the parents of a colored family or two disapproved of their children associating with me.
