Dear Mr. McDonald:
Please find enclosed a copy of Senate Bill 603 which I have introduced this session. This legislation would extend the rights of light wine manufacturings to offer samples of wine, sell wine in its original package directly to consumers at the winery, and open wine purchased by consumers so it may be consumed on the winery premises on Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., as well as on Monday through Saturday between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and midnight. The section that is being added is on page 2 in bold print.
This legislation has not been scheduled for a hearing yet and I wanted to give you the opportunity to express your views on the matter before it was heard before the Judiciary Committee.
I think this bill would be advantageous to the wine manufacturers in Missouri and I would appreciate hearing from you as soon as possible.
