Dear Ones,
I just packaged up your "God Calling" book to return it to you. I have another copy now - and could not get along without it. That comes first in the morning - before coffee or paper! What a wonderful thought today - just to be with Him - not beseeching - not even thinking, just being with Him & loving Him. How peaceful.
I had to "pad" the box with the book in it so it wouldn't rattle, so there are some interesting enclosures.
My trip was wonderful. Everything just fell into place. Joe & L. V. & I went from Las Vegas to Anaheim Friday night - got in rather late & stayed at Grandma & Grandpa's. I slept in the other twin bed in Grandma's room; Joe & L. V. slept in the camper; Matt & Susie & their little ones, Sara & Tommy, slept in the den (on the folks new queen size hide-a-bed).
Jerry was upset that Joe hadn't called to let her know they had arrived safely - but when she saw me she was so surprised & relieved we both cried. . . . . . . . . . . . . .
It rained that next morning (Saturday) so the "garage saleing" wasn't much good. It rained that night too, but we all had a good time at the "Bit-O-Sweden" smorgasbord (. . . . ) There were more than 30 of us, & . . . . .
The camper had leaked with all the rain, so I styed at Jerry's at night from there on. Matt & Susie had to leave Saturday . . . . Jerry would drop me off at the folks when she went to work. . . . . We gabbed and looked at pictures. (. . . . ) and visited & remembered & ate - and took naps. The storm was stacked up in the Pacific and kept slamming in one after another & demolishing the beaches and piers. The gulls had forecast it . . . it seemed strange to see them wheeling & soaring all over Anaheim.
Jeff Cates wife, Glenda had to be in Fullerton for a week's Seminar on Nuclear Testing so I came back to Las Vegas with her Friday afternoon. We had high winds in the passes, but no rain or snow.
I spent Saturday with Jeannie - she was laying in a big supply of groceries at Genco - because of the truckers strike. Then she went out with all of us . . , . . , . . , . . , & . . , . . , & . . . for pizza.
Jim & Gloria were held in Las Vegas . . . . - so the girls came there to visit.
Ginny met me . . . for the Mass for Norman, . . . she should have been in bed, she had bronchitis so bad, We did have a good visit over breakfast.
John, I am footloose & skittish now - you'd better not invite me anywhere unless you mean it! I'd love to go to Israel! Hope it works out.
I'm looking at the picture of Dad that I enclosed with your book. Such a dear expression. It reminds me to pray to him. Much love MomLexicon
