A letter folded into making an envelope, postmarked Mar 5 1984. It is from C. Younger (mom), St. Joseph, Mo. to The John P. Mallons, Geneva, Switzerland. The front of the envelope has USA 30¢ with a flat picture of the world in the top right corner.

Sunday Aft.
Hello All
Since I have a little time this afternoon I'll get an early start on the week. We went to 6PM Mass last eve so we have a free morning. Bud & Nancy said they'd be up some time so we have to sit tight, they never run on a given schedule.
It has turned cold again (. . ) the last few days and we are really ready for Spring . . . Daddy did go fishing a couple days - one day he did well & two days later - poorly.
Got your check & returned all money to John's account. . . . It's always a thrill to feel like I can replace
(. . . . . ) some of the cast offs. . . . . I've bought . . . (. . ) . . . (. . ) . . . , . . . , and . . . so I'm ready for hot weather. . . . I went this time & grabbed early. Ha Ha.
Got the apartment rented to a young couple who seem very nice. . . . . It was so clean that all we had to do was a good going over - no painting etc.
Have you begun any Summer plans yet? Always anxious to hear . . . . . . I guess they'll (Betty & Connie) be going out for Grandma Cates birthday later this month. I haven't talked to her lately. So good that she has someone to travel with & Connie needs her too. Betty seems to be dong well. I'm happy for her. I'm sure it isnt easy.
