Letter from Harry George to the Mohonk Lodge detailing items they can send to him on approval including the Cheyenne baby carrier.
12/26/08.
Answering yours of Dec. 23rd will state, you may send me subject to my approval, the Cheyenne baby carrier, and with its selection of watever you may have to offer in the Choctaw, and Chetimache baskets and I will return you such as I cannot use.
If you will refer to your invoices of August 8th and August 20th, you will see what was sent to me at that time, and you need not send duplicates of anything that was sent me at that time, for the reason i kept everything except the water bottle and plaque which was returned to you.
I am very anxious to have one more specimen of Choctaw basket if same is obtainable. There are also several specimens of Chetimache I do not have that I would like to have. In addition to the two you sent me at the time mentioned I have one smaller in shape than the larger one sent me by you which is covered like the one you sent me. I am trying to make myself as clearly understood as possible so you need not send me anything I already have. In other words, I have in the Chetimaches three baskets: two of them bought from you and one bought the last time I was in Los Angeles. Two of the baskets have tops, the other is heart shaped as you can doubtless remember. As soon as they are received and I can determine what I can use I will make you a remittance and return such as I may not want.
Yours very trulySubject
