Description

Vol II pg. 105A Letter from H.L. Madison of the American Association of Museums regarding the suggestion of Harry George for membership. March 28, 1919. Mr. Harry L. George, St. Joseph, Missouri, My dear Mr. George: Mr. E. E. Blackman of the Nebraska State Historical Society has been good enough to suggest you as a very desirable member to be sought for this Association. It will give me great pleasure to present your name to the council at an early date, and I am sure their action will be favorable in enrolling you as a member beginning May 1st, 1919, the opening of the next fiscal year. Mr. Blackman did not designate the class of membership desired by you, but I assume you would wish to become an active member with the right to vote and hold office and to receive the publications of the Association. Active membership is $3 a year; Active membership for Life is $30 paid at one time, with like privileges. Will you at your convenience write me as to your wishes in the matter in order that your name may be presented at as early a date as possible. I am sending you under separate cover the first of next week the April issue of our official publication which will give you some idea of the work of the Association, and shall look forward to a reply from you at your early convenience. Very truly yours, H. L. Madison Secretary and Editor.
