A copy of a 2-page letter on onion skin paper from Wilbur P. McDonald, M. D., to Robert G. Stewart, Acting Supervisor, Division of Liquor Control, Jefferson City, Missouri, dated May 2, 1975. The letters COPY in red ink are down the left hand side of the paper.Context
Dear Mr. Stewart:
Enclosed are the following:
1. Application for License for the Production of Domestic Wine, 1975 to 1976 in triplicate.
2. Renewal Application.
3. Tax Bond Form.
4. Internal Revenue Service Form 1541
5. Cashier check payable to Director of Revenue in the amount of $5.00.
6. Cashier check in the amount of $10.50 for the wine produced in the fall of 1974, at 30 cents a gallon.
Somewhere I have misplaced or misfiled my copy of the application license for production of domestic wine for the year 1974 and 1975, so that I am unable to furnish it to you at this time, listing the wines that I produced. The following is a list of wines produced in the fall of 1974.

Again I would like to request that I be reinstated to my original License #2, which I obtained in 1961 and maintained through about 1972. In 1972-1973 I had License #7, 1973-1974 License #16, 1974-1975 License #8. Seniority should have some benefits.
Isn't it a little ridiculous to have to post a Corporate Bond in the sum of $1000.00 to assure that I will pay a tax on 30 or 40 gallons of wine? The Bond cost is $20.00 - the tax on last years production was $10.50, and the license was $5.00, that puts a base value in excess of a dollar a gallon on my wines, and they are not worth it.
Sincerely,
Encls.Lexicon
