Description

Handwritten post card to Harry George from E. J. Meyer discussing a collection. Vol II pg. 101Y (front) Dear Mr. George- Saw a small, but what impressed me as a good collection of Indian stuff, all old & each piece with a history. Buckskin shirts pants, warbonnet with any number of scalps looks very old, ghost dance shirt, old $200.00. ???? from wounded knee (don't suppose they would interest you) Flat Buckskin ornamental saddle & Barnett formerly belonging to "Big Foot", hanged for under 16 years ago, part of hangman's rope also "black caps" rather gruesome. Presume the "search" still continues. Best regards (back) Postcard with a postmark Sioux Falls, South Dakota on November 10, 1913. There is a one-cent stamp featuring the profile of a man in the top right corner. The card is addressed to Mr. Harry L.
